Research interests

My research interests revolve around Indigenous forest-dependent communities subjected to land seizures and environmental decline by government-led extractive projects and transnational companies. I am also interested in Indigenous knowledge and Indigenous rights. I believe the assertion of both could provide possibilities in solving land conflicts and coping with the impacts of climate change. I have always strived to follow Indigenous methodologies throughout my research to include and respect research collaborators’ values, beliefs, and voices. For this reason, in my M.Sc. and Ph.D., I have crafted the research proposal in collaboration with the Indigenous communities I worked.
